Does not need to be dug up for winterization

Mulch with hay so there is approx. 3’ of hay around all sides
Mulch helps insulate the crown
Fertilize with ½ tsp of fertilizer weekly
Prune off yellowed leaves
Once main shoot has flowered/fruited, remove so young shoots can be allowed to grow
